Justice unbound??

Yet again we have succeeded in breaking the charade of a just and humane nation by doing things in our unique and rather incorrigible way. After a heady campaign by Times of India and co, and incessant exposure to the Jessica Lal murder case , it looked like justice had prevailed. But it was only a matter of time before the masquerade was over. the culprit roams freely under what has cleverly been called a parole. The reasons why this murderer has been given a parole is apparently because of THREE unavoidable circumstances. An ailing mother , a ritual for peace of a deceased grandmother, and finally for handling a very lucrative business. Now i can understand that the first two reasons might sound genuine. But how can you justify the parollling of a certified criminal for taking care of BUSINESS!!! Do you mean to say that if Bill Gates were to murder someone tomorrow, we should all forgive and forget, because he needs to run Microsoft!!

The Indian Paradox continues to thrive even in the age of the RTI. This time however we cannot conviniently blame our police force . Despite reports from Delhi police saying that the reasons for the parole were highly unreasonable, the court deemed it prudent to give the guy a parole. of course! Why would you want to displease the 'influential father'. definitely not for justice! It amazes me that people can still get away with such blatant disregard to establishments and systems. When a highly valid parole takes months and years to get approval, how can a measly criminal with a heavy bank and political balance walk away into the sunset?
